Real Madrid are reportedly set to sign young Swedish prodigy Alexander Isak, who has been boldly dubbed as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Spanish giants may be currentlyunder a highly restrictivetransfer ban, which can see them sign players but not have them registered to any of their sides, but that isn't stopping them planning for the future, scouting some of the best young talent in football today.

And according to news outletMarca, Madrid are very close to confirming a deal for 17-year-old Isak from Swedish side AIK Solna that will see the player commit to Los Blancos for the next five seasons.

It has been suggested that coach Zinedine Zidane has been sending his best scouts to watch the teenager over the previous months, however it has only been in recent weeks that negotiations have said to have intensified.

The deal is said to be completed, with personal details and contract settlements only to be agreed to sign the 'new Zlatan'.

Isak has impressed Madrid not only through is prominence in the Swedish top flight, but with the national side as well after becoming the youngest ever goalscorer in the senior side following a fine strike in a friendly against Slovakia.

Standing at 6ft 2 with huge amounts of power, combined with technique and an eye for goal, there is no surprise that comparisons have been made with the Manchester United forward, but Madrid aren't the only side who saw these attributes.

Further reports indicate that the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Juventus were also interested, but it has been said that Madrid's youth policy, with the signing of Martin Odegaard for example, swayed the youngster to choose Madrid.
