Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been offered to Barcelona.

The former Real Madrid star is inside the final year of his current deal and despite public utterances, negotiations over a new contract are yet to open.

Don Balon says Ozil's camp have employed an intermediary close to Barca and the German has been offered to the Catalans.

The midfielder doesn't want to spend a year playing in the Europa League and wants to return to Spain.

However, the message came back that Barca have other priorities. The Catalans are also reluctant to make a hostile move on Arsenal, with their relationship deteriorating over their failed pursuit of Hector Bellerin.
