Published on: 28 February 2017

La Liga giants Real Madrid can make history on Wednesday night when they face Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu.

To do that, they will have to score at least once, as one goal will see them break a record set by rivals Barcelona a very long time ago.

Los Blancos will welcome their next opponents on a run of scoring in 44 consecutive league appearances in a streak which stretches back to nearly a year ago. Scoring against Las Palmas will see them set a new record of producing goals in45 straight outings.

They equalled Barcelona's record by scoring against Villarreal on Sunday - a feat accomplished between 1942 and 1944.
