Champions League holders Real Madrid welcome Roma to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for their opening Group G match.
The pair do have previous in the competition with 10 matches played between them. Real Madrid have won six of those encounters, including both games in the 2016 Round of 16.
Roma though, have lost on four of their last five trips to Spain, the exception being a 4-0 success at Villarreal in the 2016/17 Europa League Round of 32.
