Real Madrid midfielderLucas Vazquez has hit out at star trio Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming that'they have to help us defend' in light of Madrid's recent defensive woes.

Vazquez has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season with Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo ahead of him in the pecking-order.

And he has decided to criticise the trio, admitting his frustration at their lack of defensive disciplinein recent weeks.

"A team is based on everyone working," Vazquez said, as quoted inthe Mirror.

"The BBC and the midfield have to work to help the defence not concede so many goals."

Los Blancos went 10 games without keeping a clean sheet earlier in the season, conceding cheap goals against the likes ofEibar, Legia Warsaw and Spanish minnowsCultural Leonesa.

Madrid boss Zidane has come under scrutiny for not tightening up his defence, as well as his refusal to playAlvaro Morata or Marcos Asensio over Ronaldo, Bale or Benzema.

Vazquez has reiterated supporters concerns, conceding that it 'makes no difference' what they think in regards to the 'untouchable' trio.

He added:"It makes no difference if we think it's fair or not that the BBC are untouchable," he said.

"The coach is the one who decides and we just have to train."

In spite of their defensive worries, Madrid are still top of La Liga having capitalised on Barcelona's stuttering start to the season, which has seen Luis Enrique's side lose twice in their opening 11 outings.
