Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru is highly confident that his club will surpass the heights they achieved in the previous Champions League season.

The Austrian giants reached the group stages of the competition but they were knocked out in the end. Their group had the likes of Liverpool, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade.

Majeed, who has fully settled in the club after playing a key role in their double winning season, believes that his team will do better in the European competition next season.

“Austria is a really small country and football here is getting better each year. When you win the league title you play in the Champions league directly so it is good for us. People watch a lot of football here. It is also good for a young player like me,” he told Tv3.

"We are a young team and we can go far. We are working so hard. Red Bull is a team that always do well Europe so I think we can go far next season. Every year is getting better,” he added.
