Red Bull Salzburg rewards in-form Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah with new contract

Austrian Bundesliga outfit, Red Bull Salzburg have extended the contract of Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah.

The new deal was announced on Monday, October 16, on the back of the talented youngster’s fantastic performance in the 2023/24 football season.

In the new deal, Forson Amankwah has opted to stay at Red Bull Salzburg until the summer of 2027.

“We have extended Amankwah Forson 's contract early until June 30, 2027,” an official club statement from Red Bull Salzburg said.

The statement continued, “The 20-year-old Ghanaian came to us from his hometown in Salzburg in the 2021 winter transfer period and was initially in the U18 of the Red Bull Academy (5 games, 3 goals) and at the cooperation club FC Liefering (29 matches, 6 goals, 8 assists). Mission.”

This season, Forson Amankwah has featured in 9 matches for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.

He has scored two goals and provided two assists.

He has gradually become an important player for his club and is set to play key roles in all competitions to help his team chase laurels.
