Red-hot Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey wants to score against AS Roma in Europa League

In form Ludogorets striker Bernard Tekpetey has set his sights on scoring against AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League.

The Bulgarian outfit will play host to the Italian giants on Thursday in the Europa League opener and according Tekpetey, his target is to get a goal in the game for his club.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Wontumi FM monitored, the former Schalke 04 player who has been in a rich vein on form expressed he wants to shine in the game and score for Ludogorets.

Asked if he is hoping to score against Roma, he said, “Yes, I am praying to get my day against Roma and if it happens that way, I am going to score. Even if I am unable to score I have to assist to help my team win but the target is to get a goal from this game” he said as quoted by Footballghana.com.

The Ludogorets forward has been in blistering form for the Bulgarian giants, netting five goals already in the new campaign.

Despite his fine form, the 24-year-old was excluded from the 29-man list released by Ghana coach Otto Addo for friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
