Referees in Ghana Premier League are doing well but it is not 100% - Referees Association of Ghana secretary Alex Anning

The general secretary of the Referees Association of Ghana Alex Anning has stated that to date no club has officially written to them to complain about a referee.

According to him, referees in the Ghana Premier League are doing well but their performance is not 100 percent.

Clubs and football fans have complained about referee performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League. Some referees have also been penalized by the Ghana FA for making basic errors on the pitch.

"If I say that officially it has come before us that a club is complaining then it is not true. Officially no club has complained maybe we will hear the media saying these things but with that, the person can't pinpoint the match, the name of the referee, or the decision made. They say it generally and if you say it generally it turns to the usual complaints," Anning said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"What I will say is that if the clubs have any issue I cant say that they don't have an issue to complain about because the referees are not 100 percent because even in officiating there could be 1 or 2 errors we are human beings,"
