Minister for Youth and Sports, Honorable Isaac Kwame Asiamah has stated that in the process of reforming Ghana Football, it is essential to look at Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

According to the Sports Minister, Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are hugely and uniquely placed to promote other lesser known sports so reforming Ghana football for him begins from the two clubs.

An Anas investigative piece has left Ghana Football in tatters and with a normalization committee in the pipeline to reform football in the country, Honorable Isaac Asiamah believes we can use the two big clubs in the country to bring football to its glory days.

“Reforming Ghana’s football begins from here. We have two very important glamorous clubs in this country, Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. And I have said it, that these two clubs can be used for promoting other lesser known sports in this country like we have in other places”, he said at the launch of the J. A Kufuor cup match.

The J. A Kuffour cup match will be played between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante on Sunday, October 28, at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The charity match is being organized by Primeval Media under the auspices of the John Agyekum Kuffour (JAK) Foundation to raise funds for various developments and leadership projects under the foundation.

Isaac Asiamah added that football people should reform themselves in order to help save football in the country.

“If you are here as a club owner please reform yourself because what we saw on video is about all of us. In totality lets us all reform ourselves so that we can save Ghana’s football”, he said.
