Rene Hiddink was impressed with the club's facilities when he arrived - Hearts of Oak board

Dutch technical director, Rene Hiddink, expressed his admiration for the club's top-notch facilities upon his arrival ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

The Hearts of Oak board revealed that Hiddink, impressed by the state-of-the-art resources at his disposal, asserted that any player failing to thrive at the club should look no further than themselves.

Tasked with overseeing not only the senior team but also the developmental sides, including Auroras, Royal Oaks, and the women's team

"When René arrived at Hearts he was impressed by the facilities, and said any player who fails to succeed at Hearts would have himself to blame," the Board said.

In match week 13, the Accra-based club tasted defeat against Aduana Stars. The league leaders beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Phobians are currently 9th on the league table with 16 points after 13 games.

Accra Hearts of Oak will take on arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in their next league game.
