REPORT: Asante Kotoko in talks to sign Aduana defender Caleb Amankwah

Published on: 15 October 2019

Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko is reportedly in talks to secure the services of Aduana Stars defender Caleb Amankwah.

The side is currently preparing for their two-legged clash with Ivorian side FC San Pedro in the CAF Confederations Cup after being knocked out of the Champions League by Etoile du Sahel.

They appear to be looking to boost their squad and has now set sights on signing highly-rated right-back Caleb Amankwah from Dormaa-based Aduana Stars.

This comes just two days after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) opened the transfer window on the local scene to allow for the signing and registration of new players.

If Amankwah’s transfer to Kotoko goes through, he will become their 19th signing in the last 3 months.

Nonetheless, he will be a good addition to the side looking at his impressive showing at Aduana Stars in the last year since joining from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA).
