Ghana defender Richard Ocran will meet his former coach CK Akonnor when Nkana FC welcome Kotoko to Kitwe on February 24 in the CAF Confederations Cup Group C fixture.
Akonnor signed Ocran when he was coach at Dreams FC and the pair spent three successful years together winning the Division One League in 2014/2015 and also playing in the Ghana Premier League.
Ocran was Akonnor’s first choice central defender at Dreams and he played in almost every single game under the former captain.
Ashanti Gold signed Ocran and as fate will have it, Akonnor also joined the Miners in the middle of the 2017 season. The defender hit form again under his mentor and netted four goals as they survived relegation.
Ocran left Ashanti Gold for Nkana FC whilst Akonnor also joined Kotoko at the end of 2018.
