REVEALED: 90min Fans Vote on Who They Think Are a Dead-Cert for Relegation This Season

Published on: 30 November 2016

13 games into the Premier Leaguecampaign may be too early too predict who will end up top of the pilecome may time, but it's definitely given us a sense who will be this year's Aston Villa.

A host of sides have had pretty miserable starts to this season and unfortunately there remains two teams who have failed to even make it into double figures in the points column.

It's no surprise then, which club was chosen by nearly half of 90min readersto be dead-certs for relegation.

Sunderland's miserable start to the campaign saw them go an incredible 11 matches without a win and 46% of voters reckon they are favourites to drop into the Championship. With David Moyes on the verge of the sack at the start of November, the Black Cats somehow found three pointsat Bournemouth, despite being down to ten men.

With confidence returning, Moyes' side then won their first home match of the season by beating Hull 3-0 and with back-to-back wins under their belt they briefly moved off the bottom of the table.

But like a snorkeler popping up for air, Sunderland's spell off the foot of the table was all to brief, as defeat at Liverpool last weekend sent them straight back down to the depths of 20th.

Another baron spell over Christmas could well make it mission impossible for the Black Catsin the new year, as the threat of relegation looms larger by the week.

Hull City came in second place, with 25% of votersthinking that it could be straight back to the Championship for the newly promoted Tigers. August's fine form seems a distant memory, as the club have only won one of their last 11 league matches.

The honeymoon period is well and truly over for Mike Phelan and with very little experience of first team management behind him, Hull are already facing an uphill struggle to retain their Premier League status.

Next up, comesSwansea City in third with 13%. The Welsh outfit have had a turbulent season so far, having already sacked one manager and gambling on an American who has no experience of English football.

FULL-TIME Swansea 5-4 Palace.

What. A. Match.

If Swans' fans need a glimmer of hope though, then last weekend's crazy 5-4 win over Palace could be symbolic of their season. Up and down but with a happy ending?

Clutching at straws it may be,but once they get a trip to White Hart Lane out of the way this Saturday, the remaining fixtures for 2016 are certainly 'winnable' - whatever that means.

The remaining teams in the poll had relatively low percentages of votes, with 8% thinking that Crystal Palace will be made to pay for being the worst team in English football for 2016.

Although they seem to be on one of those Alan Pardew runs that Alan Pardew teams go on, they surely have too many good players to to get relegated.

Both Middlesbrough and West Ham received 4% which by all accounts, is pretty reasonable. Aitor Karanka seems to be a man with a plan up on Teeside, whilst Slaven Bilic is slowly making the Hammers tick again, after a frustrating few months.

With the top three candidates all currently occupying the relegation places in the Premier League, 90min readers think they have seen enough to know which team will be going down next May.

There will be plenty of twists and turns to comebut with Sunderland favourites to be relegated, we could be swapping one Geordie team for another, as Championship high-flyersNewcastle United, already look like they will be returning to the top flight next season.
