Turkish side Kayserispor placed a €4.5 million purchase option in Bernard Mensah's deal to Besiktas during the 2020 summer transfer window.

It has also been revealed that Besiktas coughed up €500,000 as a loan fee for the player. The 26-year-old was one of the best midfielders in the Turkish top flight and Besiktas saw him as a good fit for them.
But, this campaign, his form has been a rocky one. In 25 games this season, Mensah has netted four goals and dished out one assist.

Besiktas are yet to decide on his future. Reports state that they will make a decision this summer before his loan deal comes to an end.
Mensah last featured for the Black Stars in 2020.
