REVEALED: Chinese buyer seeks to buy stake in Man Utd

A mystery Chinese buyer is seeking to purchase a stake in Manchester United.

The Sunday Times says negotiators acting for a billionaire Asian investor have contacted some of United's independent shareholders over a deal to buy part of the club.

The Glazer family have owned the club since 2005 but there are a persistent rumours some of the family are also ready to sell their stakes.

The Glazer's control around 80 percent of the club, while the rest is held by investment funds in New York and London.

The also report states the Glazer's have no interest in selling the entirety of the club, three of the six Glazer siblings are said to be interested in a sale.
