The move according to checks is from the Normalization Committee (NC) which has been tasked to reform and restore normalcy to the football association following the Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative film that highlighted the rot in the running of the sport in the country.

Now into their second term, the body set up by FIFA and the government of Ghana is making plans to go for congress and finally hand over the association to a president who is expected to be elected before September ends.

Information gathered indicates that the NC is proposing a name change from Ghana Football Association to Association of Ghana Football (AGF).

The name will be presented to stakeholders when the NC calls for congress later this month.

In addition to the name change, the Normalization Committee has opted to change the logo of the association with the aim of rebranding to ensure it is given a different identity besides the bad name it has been known for in the past.
