REVEALED: How Premier League's Top Clubs Compare to Each Other on FIFA 17

Published on: 21 August 2016

With the release for FIFA 17 just around the corner, a number of Premier League teams ratings have been leaked for players to sink theirteeth into.

Not just one or two teams - but a whole host of the league's top clubs. Ready?

Leicester City

First up is the Premier League champions Leicester City, and there are a few surprises in there which could be subject to some scrutiny.

While last season's stars Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez get notable boosts in rating, with both breaking into the 80's, but Danny Simpson will surely feel hard done by with a notably lower rating than the rest of his teammates.

While it is understandable that EA Sports may not want to boost the ratings of the Leicester squad too much, Simpson was surely better than a 73.

Arsenal

Next on the table is second-placed team Arsenal, and on the surface it appears as though their hasn't been a great deal of change.

Perhaps the most notable change in the Arsenal squad is that Hector Bellerin is rated so lowly, even falling lower than inconsistent Brazilian centre-back Gabriel. Bellerin was perhaps the shining light in what was a pretty disappointing season for the Gunners, yet EA didn't consider boosting his rating up to the 80's.

Tottenham

Next up are the Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and despite a superb campaign last season, there have been no great changes to the squad.

The most notable changes here have been made to Eric Dier and Dele Alli, who were stand-out performers for Spurs last season, and yet still not managing to break into the 80's.

There will certainly be a lot of Spurs fans out there who will be disappointed to learn that Alli is rated lower than the injury-stricken Jack Wilshere from their nearest rivals.

Manchester City

Moving on now to the fourth-placed team in last season's Premier League, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

On the face of it there appear to be no major changes to the City side apart from the inclusion of new signings Ilkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane and Nolito.

If there were anything to question in regards to the ratings of the players, maybe the fact that the ever-consistent Fernandinho is still rated less than Samir Nasri, despite the Frenchman barely featuring for City last season.

Manchester United

A hop across the city next to a Jose Mourinho-helmed United. The most surprising thing in this team is most likely the high ratings of Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Both endured a rather disappointing campaign,so the fact that they are rated so highly in FIFA will come as a surprise to many fans.

Another noteworthy boost is that of David de Gea bursting into the 90's, which will please many of the Red Devils.

Liverpool

Next up on the list are Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, and not much has been done with the Reds in regards to player ratings.

If there was anything that could possibly annoy Liverpool fans, maybe it would be the fact that Alberto Moreno is of the same rating as Belgian striker Divock Origi.

Origi impressed during the second-half of last season, whilst Moreno was largely disappointing, and appears to have carried that form into the new campaign.

Chelsea

Finally on the list we have a resurgent Chelsea side, and there are more than a few changes to the squad worth looking at.

Given the Blues disappointing campaign on all fronts last season, you might have expected players to be downgraded somewhat.

On the contrary, it appears as though a number of players have been given quite a boost in their rating. Thibaut Courtois' rating has been increased by three, Willian's rating has also increased by three, perhaps understandably given that he was -in the eyes of many Premier League fans -the most impressive Chelsea player last season, and it appears that everyone else has remained the same.

Even Eden Hazard has managed to retain his 89rating despite his worst season at Stamford Bridge to date.

There may also have been a case to raise the rating of N'Golo Kante a little more. It has increased considerably from FIFA 16, but the Frenchman was a key player in Leicester City's Premier League winning campaign.
