REVEALED: Man Utd trio on Barcelona agenda - with Messi approval

Published on: 04 January 2018

Barcelona won't end their shopping in the Premier League once they close a deal for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

Diario Gol says Barca won't even end their shopping in the Northwest, with no less than three Manchester United players on the agenda.

United midfield pair Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are both on Barca's radar, along with defensive utility Daley Blind. All three players will see their contracts expire in June.

And significantly, the three United players also have the backing of Lionel Messi. The Argentine now has a formal say, courtesy of a clause in his new contract, in club transfer policy.

The United trio, along with Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka and Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil, have all been met with Messi's approval. And all five players are now free to discuss pre-contract deals with Barca.
