Paul Pogba is currently at the lowest point of his Manchester United career, it has been revealed.

Pogba has been hooked twice in three games by manager Jose Mourinho, with the other match starting on the bench.

L'Equipe says Pogba is now experiencing his "darkest period" and is "reflecting upon his future".

It's suggested Pogba could seek a move to Real Madrid this summer, having fielded interest from their president Florentino Perez 18 months ago as he and agent Mino Raiola pushed to leave Juventus.

Perez refused to match United's €105m offer for Pogba, but would be open to going close to that fee with the market having dramatically changed over the last 12 months.

Pogba is tied to United until 2021 and is no guarantee of starting this weekend against FA Cup opponents Huddersfield Town.
