Leicester City defender Ricardo Pereira has showered praise on Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for his pivotal role in securing a crucial victory for The Foxes in the Sky Bet Championship.

Pereira commended Issahaku's exceptional performance, particularly highlighting his assistance in setting up Pereira's goal during Leicester City's recent 2-1 triumph over Watford.

This victory enabled Leicester City to maintain their commanding nine-point lead at the top of the league standings, further solidifying their position as title contenders.

Fatawu Issahaku started the game today at the Vicarage Road and lasted 83 minutes.

Zambian international Patson Daka started the scoring by converting a penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner in the 11th minute.

In the 55th minute, Ricardo Pereira's right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner gave the away side their second goal. Ricardo Pereira's goal was assisted by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis pulled one back for Watford in the 63rd minute.

"Abdul Fatawu did a great job finding me in the box and it was great especially for our fans. It was really nice,” Ricardo Pereira said after the game.
