Hearts of Oak defender, Caleb Amankwah has opened up on an interesting conversation that ensued between him and Asante Kotoko midfielder Richard Boadu during the President’s Cup.

The two players featured for their clubs on Sunday in the Week 20 encounter of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking to Kumasi FM in an interview, Caleb Amankwah said Richard Boadu promised to give him GHS100 if Asante Kotoko failed to score.

According to him, the Asante Kotoko player is yet to fulfill his promise three days after the game.

“Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’ kept insulting me during the president's greetings and during the game because he was upset that I played the game even though I wasn't 100% fit and didn't train for a month.

“He even promised to give me GH₵100 if they fail to equalize but I told him GH₵100 is too small so we should bet GH₵1,000 each if he believes they can score,” Caleb Amankwah revealed.

The Hearts of Oak defender added, “At some point, he told Richmond Lamptey to pass through my side because I do not have a match fitness but I told Lamptey to be very careful because I will get him.

“Richard Boadu is yet to fulfill his promise.”

On Sunday, a solitary strike from Konadu Yiadom handed Hearts of Oak a 1-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
