Richard Ofori could miss Orlando Pirates game against Swallows FC on Saturday

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori is set to undergo extensive tests today to know whether the injury is serious or not. He might miss Orlando Pirates game against Swallows FC on Saturday.

On Monday, Ofori began in goal for Ghana against Bafana Bafana in a FIFA World Cup qualifier, but he was forced to leave the game in the 75th minute.

After failing to gather a simple cross by Teboho Mokoena, Richard Ofori hurt his leg and almost gifted Bafana Bafana a score.

Ofori was subsequently substituted because he couldn't continue playing, and his thigh was extensively bandaged after what seemed to be a muscle pull.

As things currently stand, the Pirates' medical staff may have to work around the clock to get Ofori ready for the Swallows game.

If Ofori is unable to recuperate in time for the original Soweto Derby, the Pirates technical staff will have to rely on Wayne Sandilands or Siyabonga Mpontshane.

Sandilands and Mpontshane have yet to start a competitive match for Pirates this season, since Ofori is regarded as the club's No.1.

The Ghana international has started all three of Pirates' matches so far - one in the MTN8 and two in the league.
