Canadian full-back of Ghanaian descent, Richie Laryea has seen his solo goal against Columbus Crew being nominated for the goal of the season award in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The defender has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the regular season of the American top-flight league.
In the 17 matches he played for Toronto FC before the MLS regular season ended, Richie Laryea scored three goals while providing as many as five assists.
His spotlight of the season came in a match against Columbus Crew where he netted a sensational goal against the Ohio-based club to help his team cruise to a 3-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
