Midfielder Richmond Lamptey has commenced training with his Asante Kotoko teammates after making full recovery from his injury.

The former Inter Allies man played his last match for the Porcupine Warriors on March 31 in the 1-1 draw against Karela United in the Ghana Premier League.

Since then, an injury setback has meant that Richmond Lamptey has missed as many as five league games for Asante Kotoko.

In that run, the Reds managed to pick points but for the first time this season, lost back-to-back Ghana Premier League matches in games against RTU and Legon Cities FC.

Fortunately, Richmond Lamptey has beaten his injury and now training with his Asante Kotoko teammates as confirmed by a post on the Twitter page of the club.

Ahead of a matchday 28 game against Aduana Stars this weekend, Asante Kotoko has received massive squad boost with the inclusion of the star midfielder.

The upcoming top fixture will be played on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
