Robertson eyeing further progress

Published on: 15 June 2019

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson claims there is still plenty more he can add to his game despite an impressive season.

The Scotland skipper was part of a Reds defence that only conceded 22 goals through the course of the Premier League campaign, while he also contributed with 11 assists.

Robertson is now one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp's teamsheet and was named in the PFA Team of the Year last term as he helped the Merseysiders to second in the league and to Champions League glory.

Despite his recent efforts, the 25-year-old Scot still feels that he can get better.

"I think I've been good but I can always be better," he was quoted as saying on the club's website. "That's the way I've always worked.

"I'll never praise myself because I think there's always improvement to be made.

"Even when I have a good game, you can still do things better. I've had a good season but I still have a lot of improvement to make and hopefully I can show that in the following seasons."

Liverpool are 9/4 to win the Premier League title next season.
