Jay Rodriguez bagged his first competitive goal for West Bromwich Albion in their 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

The Baggies third victory for the season sees them secure a spot in the third-round of the Carabao Cup.

Salomon Rondon broke the deadlock after 11 minutes, before Matt Phillips doubled the advantage 20 minutes later.

Albion were cruising when Rodriguez, who joined the club from Southampton this summer, banged in their third goal of the night with a rasping 18-yard strike.

Accrington managed to pull a goal back with two minutes remaining through Tom Dallison.
