Romanian side FC Universitatea Craiova snap up Ghanaian Moses Abbey after Player of the Year at Ravenna FC

Ghanaian youngster Moses Abbey will feature for Romanian club FC Universitatea Craiova 1948 next season after completing a move to the club.

The midfielder is joining the Romanian club as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Ravenna FC.

He is moving from the Italian Serie D for top-flight football in Romania after a stellar 2022/23 season with Ravenna FC.

Abbey enjoyed an amazing campaign in the Serie D for his outfit, scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists in 36 matches and also helping the club to finish 7th on the table.

The 20-year-old impressive performance did not go unnoticed, winning the Player of the Year at Ravenna FC at the end of the season.

Abbey joined Ravenna at the beginning of the 2022-23 season from Rende Calcio 1968 and instantly became an important player to the team.

Italian Serie C club Pordenone Calcio were interested in signing the talented footballer, but he has decided to move to Southeastern Europe ahead of the next season.
