Ropapa Mensah scores twice in Chattanooga Red Wolves SC draw with South Georgia Tormenta FC

Ghana's Ropapa Mensah scored in Chattanooga Red Wolves SC's 4-4 draw with South Georgia Tormenta FC.

Ropapa Mensah started the game at the CHI Memorial Stadium and lasted the full 90 minutes.

Early in the game, Chattanooga started to press, and they had 67.9% of the ball for the opening 15 minutes. Pedro Fonseca scored the first goal for Tormenta in the 13th minute to give his team a 1-0 advantage.

Ropapa Mensah scored his seventh goal of the season to make it 1-1 in the 17th minute after bursting past a Tormenta defensive pairing. However, the visitors scored their second goal of the game just three minutes later off the foot of Kazaiah Sterling.

Nico Cardona headed the ball to the back corner to even the score at two apiece, leading the teams to head to the dressing room level, 2-2.

After the break, Chevone Marsh of Chattanooga Red Wolves left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner made it 3-2. Marsh's goal was assisted by Jonathan Filipe.

In the 73rd minute, Tormenta scored their third goal through Mukwelle Akale.

Pedro Fonseca scored from close range to increase Tormenta's lead to 4-3. Ropapa Mensah scored to saved Red Wolves from defeat in added time.

In their next league encounter, the Red Wolves will play Forward Madison FC.
