Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew has heaped a lot of praise on veteran manager Roy Hodgson for doing a great job since his return to Crystal Palace.
The gaffer has taken over from Patrick Vieira with the task to save the Eagles from suffering relegation at the end of the English Premier League season.
Speaking after Crystal Palace’s 5-1 win over Leeds United over the weekend, Jordan Ayew said the team is getting back its confidence.
“It’s not been easy – we’ve been struggling [earlier this season] – but since the manager came in, he’s done a good job giving us back the confidence to express ourselves, and that’s what we’re doing,” the Black Stars forward told Crystal Palace TV.
Jordan Ayew continued, “I’m pleased with our performance. We stuck to our game plan. It wasn’t easy at the beginning, but this is the Premier League: you’re playing against good sides and sometimes it’s going to be difficult. You just need to get through it and when you have your moments, you punish them.”
In the 5-1 win over Leeds United, Ghana striker Jordan Ayew bagged a brace.
