Royal Antwerp eye summer move for Ghanaian international Nana Ampomah

Royal Antwerp are eyeing a summer for Ghanaian international Nana Opoku Ampomah in the on-going transfer window, according to SPORTSworldGhana.com.

Ampomah is currently contracted to German Bundesliga outfit side Fortuna Düsseldorf, a club he joined in the summer transfer window of 2019 from Waasland-Beveren.

The 24-year-old failed to live up to expectation as he suffered several injury setbacks which saw him miss a chunk of games during the 2019/20 season.

He made only 12 appearances and registered one assist in the Bundesliga last term as his side suffered relegation.

Despite his inconsistent campaign, the Ghanaian has been linked with a move to several clubs with Royal Antwerp eager to acquiring his services ahead of next season.

According to SPORTSworldGhana.com, an initial bid by Royal Antwerp to Fortuna Düsseldorf was made on Wednesday evening and it is yet to be known if it will be accepted or not.

His contract with Düsseldorf will expire on June 30, 2022.

Beşiktaş JK, Apoel Nicosia, and Club Brugge also reported to be interested in signing the winger this summer.
