Real Tamale United's director of communications, Mohammed Baako Alhassan, has explained why their former player David Abagna's name has been displayed on the team's bus.
He claims that following David Abagna's January record-breaking transfer from RTU to Sudanese team Al Hilal Omdurman, the club made the decision to honor him.
Following the appearance of pictures of the RTU bus online, he validated this officially to Happy Sports.
This year, Ghanaian midfielder David Abagna Sandan was acquired by Sudanese champions Al Hilal Omdurman on a permanent transfer from Real Tamale United.
The 24-year-old offensive midfielder committed to the Sudanese team on a three-year deal for an unknown sum.
Before moving away David Abagna made 16 appearances for Real Tamale United in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League scoring 9 goals and assisting three.
Abagna scored his first goal for Al Hilal Omdurman against Coton Sport in the CAF Champions League. The midfielder scored in the Arab Club Championship on 10th April.
