The Pride of the North will play host to then Phobians on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Despite losing majority of their squad members due to financial difficulties, Alhassan remains optimistic they can pull a surprise against a rejuvenated Hearts side who have been firing on all cylinders in pre-season.

Hearts maintained an outstanding unbeaten streak throughout the pre-season, amassing an impressive total of 35 goals while conceding only 5 across eight test games.

“You know people see RTU as underdogs and it’s true they are underdogs because of the number of players that have exited the club. About 85% of the players have left the club and we are left with 15%.

“And I am praying the 15% left together with the new signings can beat Hearts of Oak at Tamale.”
