Rwanda coach Mulisa names 18-man team to face Ghana on Saturday

Rwanda interim coach Jimmy Mulisa has named an 18-man squad for their 2017 AFCON final qualifier with Ghana.

The final squad is composed of two goalkeepers namely Ndayishimiye Eric (Rayon Sport) and Marcel Nzarora (Police Fc).

Seven defenders made the final squad, led by Rusheshangoga Michel (APR FC), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR Fc), Ndayishimiye Celestin (Police Fc), Munezero Fiston (Rayon Sports), Rugwiro Herve (APR Fc), Usengimana Faustin (APR Fc) and Manzi Thierry (Rayon Sports)

Skipper and Tanzanian-based midfielder with Young Africans Haruna Niyonzima lead a 7-man midfield team composed of Mugiraneza Jean Baptista (Azam Fc), Mukunzi Yannick (APR FC) ,Niyonzima Ally (Mukura VS), Nshuti Savio Dominique (Rayon Sports), Hakizimana Muhadjiri (APR Fc) and Habyarimana Innocent (APR Fc)

The attacking force will be spearheaded by AS Vita striker Sugira Ernest and Gor Mahi marksman Jacques Tuyisenge.

The Amavubi who have already stated their desire of getting a good result will arrive in Ghana on Thursday for the game on Saturday.

According to coach “We have good preparations over the past few days and players selected into the final 18-man squad have good levels of fitness,”

“We are going to Ghana to try and stage good performances. We have nothing to lose in this encounter other than fighting for our nations’ pride and players know very well that should they win this encounter, it would be play a big impact on our Fifa rankings,” he told Ferwafa.rw

Rwanda sit second in Group H tied on six points with Mauritius who travel to Maputo to face bottom placed Mozambique that have four points.
