Sacked Sheffield Wednesday boss Carvalhal emerges as Swansea candidate

Published on: 27 December 2017

Carlos Carvalhal has emerged as a shock candidate to become the next manager of Swansea City.

City are still looking to appoint a new man in charge following the sacking of Paul Clement as manager last week and now in shock reports from the Wales Online, the Swans are currently looking at potentially appointing Carlos Carvalhal in the coming days.

"There is no change, I spoke with the chairman on Christmas Eve and that is the last conversation I have had," Britton said following the 5-0 defeat at Liverpool on Boxing Day.

"We are in training on Wednesday, I don't know if I will speak to the chairman of the owners tonight or tomorrow, but as things remain I will be in charge for Watford and for training."
