Salifu Ibrahim won't extend his contract if Hearts of Oak wait for it to expire - Agent

Hearts of Oak face uncertainty regarding the future of midfielder Salifu Ibrahim as the player inches closer to a potential departure at the conclusion of the current season.

Salifu Ibrahim, 23, has been a pivotal figure for the Accra giants since his arrival in 2021 from former Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders.

However, his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with speculation swirling around his future as his contract with Hearts of Oak dwindles down to just two months.

Linked with various clubs amid the constant transfer buzz, Ibrahim's agent, Benedict Asiedu, shed light on the situation in an interview with Kumasi FM.

"Talks about renewing his contract began quite a long time ago with Alhaji Akambi but we stopped following the change of management. I don’t know whether they are looking for new alternative,” Asiedu stated.

“The player is working but you let the contract expire if you don’t like him. Don’t blame me if Salifu doesn’t renew his contract with Hearts of Oak. I can’t take him away as a free agent. We are still waiting for them but I won’t extend the contract if they wait for it to expire."
