Sam Allardyce is set to take over as boss of Crystal Palace following the club's sacking of former managerAlan Pardewafter impressing their US owners with a dossier of stats and potential January targets.
Pardew was relieved of his duties shortly after his side's 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Selhurst Park, which was the Eagles' 10th defeat of the season, picking up just eight points in their last 12 Premier League matches, and received £3m of compensation.
And according to theDaily Mail, the bookies favourite to take over at Palace Sam Allardyce should be announced as the club's new boss in the coming days after sending their US owners a quick-fix document of how to save the top flight side from relegation, including a number of top transfer targets to bolster the squad.
Further reports have also suggested that Allardyce has been on the radar of the club's owners, including the chairman Alan Parish, for well over a month following the side's disappointing start to the season, and the latter is set to meet up with the ex Sunderland manager in the next 24 hours to discuss a possible deal.

Controversially, Allardyce's first game on the touchline for his new club could be against Arsenal on January 1st, pitting him against his old Premier League rival Arsene Wenger in his return to the top flight.
It is understood that despite their confidence in Allardyce, the club are stillwary of the controversy surrounding the former disgraced England coach, who was relieved of his duties by the FA after just 67 days, and had also considered the likes ofChris Coleman, Roy Hodgson and Roberto Mancini.
