Samartex closing in on young goalkeeper Shaibu Rafique Issah

Young goalkeeper Shaibu Rafique Issah is close to joining Ghana Premier League outfit Samartex ahead of the new season.

The former Sekondi Hasaacas shot stopper has been spotted wearing apparel of Samartex together with Emmanuel Keyekeh.

The highly-rated goalkeeper gain prominence after making his debut in the Ghana FA Cup competition at the age of 16 two seasons ago, becoming the youngest player to have feature in the competition at age 14.

His impressive performance earned him a place in the Black Starlets team under Paa Kweis Fabin,

He was later drafted in Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s Black Starlets team, playing in all games helping the Ghana U17 to win bronze at the West Africa Football Union Zone B U-17 tournament.

In the 2022/2023 football season, Shaibu spent time away from Sekondi Hasaacas FC, playing for both Nania FC and Montreal FC.

The young shot stopper, who is currently schooling at Adiembra Senior High School could seal a move to Samartex before the closure of the transfer window.
