Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu says it’s about time technical handlers of the national team offer more playing opportunities to home-based players at the Black Stars.
Three home-based players namely, Richmond Lamptey, Jonathan Sowah and Abdul Hamidu Fatawu made the cut for the continental showpiece in the West African country.
Despite making the squad, none of the players featured at the continental showpiece in Ivory Coast.
Speaking to Akoma FM, Nurudeen Amadu advocated for playing time for local players in the Black Stars.
“Emmanuel Keyekeh ought to have been called up to the Black Stars, in my opinion. He could have done more to benefit the team, based on what the midfielders accomplished at the AFCON”
“This is not from me alone but other coaches say the same thing about him because he plays so well. If the professionals can't finish the job, it's time the team managers give some local players an opportunity to show off their skills”
