Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu blames his side's profligacy for Asante Kotoko defeat

Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu insists failing to take their chances caused their defeat Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The Timber giants suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors in matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Midfielder Enoch Morrison emerged as the hero for Kotoko, converting from the penalty spot in the second half to clinch the lone goal of the game in matchday 27 of the Ghanaian top-flight.

After the game, Nurudeen Amadu expressed satisfaction with his sides display but believes the result would have been different in his players had taken their chances.

“They played very well. They played to instructions. We had some few chances but we couldn’t utilize it. For officiating, I don’t want to talk about it. I think that my players did well”

Despite defeat, Samartex remains top of the Ghana Premier League table with 49 points after 27 matches so far this season.
