Samed Ibrahim leaves AshantiGold; fails to extend contract

Ashantigold defender, Samed Ibrahim has left the Obuasi based club after parting ways with them failing to renew his contract.

The announcement was made by the Chief Executive Officer of Ashantigold Frederick Acheampong, who confirmed Samed Ibrahim departure following his refusal to renew his contract with the Miners after the expiration of his contract.

According to the CEO after seeing through their contract with the club, both Samed Ibrahim and Tijjani Joshua did not renew their contract despite the management willingness to offer them contract renewal.

The two players were also left out in the clubs squad for the CAF Confederations Cup tournament

“Samed Ibrahim’s contract has ended, he didn’t renew his contract. Same as Tijjani Joshua. We did not register them for our African campaign because they are not part of the team, Samed is not included in our  African squad,” he told Kessben FM Sports.

A couple of notable players were left out in Ashantigold’s squad for the African tournament.
