Sampson Eduku informs Tamale City of decision to leave amidst interest from GPL clubs

Tamale City FC forward has informed the club he will be leaving, per kyfilla.com reports.

This decision comes in the aftermath of Tamale City's relegation to the Division One League following the conclusion of the 2022/2023 football season.

With a total of 42 points, the team finished 16th on the Ghana Premier League log, falling three points short of securing their top-flight status.

Tamale City FC earned promotion to the Ghana Premier League in the 2021/2022 season by emerging victorious in the Division One League playoffs, benefiting from AshantiGold’s demotion from the top division.

Sampson Eduku joined Tamale City midway through the first round of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League and showcased his prowess by finishing as the club's leading goalscorer, notching an impressive 14 goals throughout the season.

Sources from Kyfilla.com have revealed that several clubs, including Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak, have expressed formal interest in acquiring the services of the former Karela United, Sekondi Hasaacas FC, and Sekondi Eleven Wise attacker.
