Samuel Boadu is not fit to lead Hearts of Oak to Africa - Mohammed Polo

Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has called for the appointment of a new coach ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup participation next season.

The Phobians will compete in the Confederations Cup having won the FA Cup,  beating Bechem United 2-1.

In the Caf Champions League and the Confederations Cup last year, the Phobians were unable to go past the group stages.

As they have fought to rediscover their former greatness, the story has not changed in the last ten years.

Ahead of the preliminary rounds, Polo insists the club need to bring in a proven coach to replace Samuel Boadu despite his impressive run with the club.

“I wish Hearts of Oak get a coach with a track record and who can add some value to the team going into Africa because I still don’t understand why the team can’t perform with these players,” Mohammed Polo told Kumasi-based Otec FM.

Boadu won the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup last season but failed to make it into the top four in this season’s league.
