Samuel Boadu needs support and not criticisms - Hearts of Oak's Frank Nelson

Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson has reiterated that the hierarchy of the club are solidly behind Samuel Boadu despite their difficult start of the season.

The Phobians kicked off their season with a home drawn game against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In their matchday 2 game against WAFA at the Reed Bull Arena, Boadu and his charges were held to a 1-1 drawn game.

After amassing two points out of six, Boadu has come under pressure. However, Mr Nelson has called on the fans to stay calm and support the gaffer and the playing body.

According they are confident Boadu will steer the team back to winning ways.

"I will not wait for the 84th or 85th minute to equalize or win my game, so that's not a pressure on me because we know what to do when Hearts of Oak want to do it, we do it very well," he told Kumasi based Akoma FM.

"Having said that, Kotoko won their game and I don't want to talk about them but Hearts of Oak and just to tell our supporters that, they shouldn't put pressure on the players, but rather allow them to have what it takes to be able to deliver.

"We will win our games when it comes, the most important thing is that we didn't lose, we won’t be found wanting in terms of being at the bottom of the league, we are not that type of club.

"We have a very young coach who understands the team and luckily has been with us, he's the current best coach in Ghana, for now, he's still doing well.

"I don't want to compare any other coach with him. I believe our coach. Boadu has what it takes to lead the club, this is not anything, we are just trying to warm up and we will do it to the level everyone is expecting," he added.

Hearts of Oak will host Aduana Stars in the matchday 3 games this weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
