Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has issued a heartfelt appeal to the passionate fans of the club.
Gyamfi, a revered figure in Kotoko's illustrious history, implores supporters not to burden the team with excessive expectations as they gear up for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
This advice from a figure who knows the heartbeat of the club intimately speaks volumes about the genuine concern for the welfare and performance of Asante Kotoko.
Gyamfi understands the power of a united fan base and recognizes the impact it can have on the team's morale and performance.
"They should bring any pressure I know that Kotoko wants everything early but this time we are now building the team. So we have to play five matches if you listen to somebody else and try to compare when we start the league there you will see who is doing well," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"The friendly matches been played when we start the like league you will see who is playing well (Asante Kotoko fans) have patience," he added.
Last season the Kumasi-based club placed 4th with 52 points after 34 games.
