Sassuolo manager De Zerbi insists he has confidence in Alfred Duncan

Head coach for Italian Serie A club Sassuolo, Roberto De Zerbi has stressed that he has confidence in Ghanaian midfield enforcer Alfred Duncan.

The Black Stars asset has had a good start to the season so far and has enjoyed a lot of minutes in the ongoing 2019/2020 Italian top-flight league.

In a pre-match interview before Sassuolo’s away match against Lecce on Wednesday night, De Zerbi who has coached Duncan for the last couple of seasons has shared that he has confidence in the midfielder.

“I am very attached to Duncan, he has great confidence on the part of my, then I try to understand the moment of form and today Locatelli and Magnanelli, up to Milan, have shown that they do well, very well”, the gaffer said.

Roberto De Zerbi added, “So if it is not a physical matter, the others must show me when they enter and train that they are better than those who are playing”.

Sassuolo went on to win the match by two goals to nothing. Alfred Duncan started the match from the bench but was introduced in the second half to play a cameo role.
