Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka is angling for a move to Arsenal.

The Mirror says the German midfielder is wanted by both the Gunners and Barcelona and will be on several other clubs' radars in the January transfer window.

But according to reports in Spain, Goretzka's club Schalke are unwilling to sell him this winter.

And furthermore, the player himself is keen to move to the Premier League and believes he could be the heir to Mesut Ozil's throne.

His countryman's contract expires in the summer and both Manchester United and Barcelona are keen.
