They were on their way from Accra to Kumasi after a match day 22 league fixture against Inter Allies at the El Wak Stadium last Wednesday. All players who were on the bus and who sustained injuries, were treated and discharged later on Thursday with the exception of midfielder, Ollennu Ashitey who was admitted for close observation.

Ollennu was admitted alongside Steven Polack and the bus driver, Joseph Nana Berkye who had surgeries late Thursday evening. Asantekotokosc.com authoritatively reports that Ollennu Ashitey and the Nana Berkye, just like Coach Steven Polack, are very doing well.

It’s worth noting that, all other victims of the accident were recalled on Saturday for thorough re-examination by the medical team at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The medics gave positive reports after examining the victims despite indicating that, most of them were still in pain. The injured players and officials were as a result given week’s rest before further examination in a week’s time. The accident, sadly claimed the life of Deputy Equipment Officer, Thomas Obeng Asare.
