Heavily linked to a move back to his home country, with both local giants Celtic Glasgow and Rangers FC allegedly tracking him, Scottish left-back Aaron Hickey, who just turned 19, on June 19, is supposedly meant to stay put, and keep venturing for Bologna, on what would be his second season  around.

To this end, Italian club head of football Walter Sabatini, addressed with such matter by Scottish paper Sunday Post, stated: "Hickey is definitely not going to move out. That I can reassure you, 100% chance he's staying put. Last season, unfortunately, he didn't get to play much, because of the injury occurring to him, but it was enough to show us his wonderful skills. As a club, we are relying on him a lot, definitely for the long run".

Currently on a deal with Felsinei until June 2024, the 2002-born, a Celtic and Hearts of Midlothian alumni, was previously linked to no less than Bayern Munich.
