Sampdoria's clash with Fiorentina and Genoa's trip to AC Milan were both called off in the wake of the tragic bridge collapse in Genoa, with a minute's silence for the victims also set to be held this weekend when the 2018-19 season gets underway in Italy.

The Lega Serie A announced on Friday the dates for the rescheduled fixtures.

Sampdoria will welcome the Viola to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in on Sept. 19 while Milan will host Genoa at the San Siro on Oct. 31, given their UEFA Europa League commitments in September.
